Welcome to the Terms and Conditions for Gifts For A Girl. 

This is the important legal bit.

This website is operated by Gifts For A Girl and (throughout these terms and conditions) is referred to as us, ours or we. As a user of this website, you are referred to as you or your or ‘customer’. As you browse or buy from this website, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions which are based on the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If you disagree with any part of them, please do not use our website.

DELIVERY INFORMATION

Delivery to UK addresses is £2.95 if you spend under £30 and free delivery if your total amount is £30 or over. Currently, we only ship products to addresses within the United Kingdom. Although, international deliveries can be arranged separately. Please email hello@www.giftsforagirl.co.uk for details.

Orders are despatched the same day if ordered before 12noon or the next day. You should receive your order within 48 hours but can take between 2-7 days (weekdays excluding public holidays). If your item is valued at £25 or over your item is tracked. If the item is personalised or is despatched directly from the manufacturer the delivery time will be stated in the product description details.

We employ the best quality delivery services we can but as we are reliant on Royal Mail and other courier services for deliveries, we cannot take any responsibility for delays or non-delivery due to weather, accident or other unforeseen circumstances. You will be contacted if something delays your delivery beyond the expected time but shall receive the item within 30 days at the very latest or the order will be cancelled. A delivery, which returns to us as undeliverable due to the address being supplied incorrectly may be refunded excluding the amount it cost us to package and post the gift.

RETURNS POLICY

We really hope you are happy with everything you order from Gifts For A Girl but sometimes things go wrong or you may just want to change your mind.  We advise that you inspect your parcel as soon as it arrives. If you wish to return an item, we offer a full return or exchange. Just tell us by email within 14 days of receipt of goods. This excludes personalised and bespoke items that are specially made or ordered.
If your order has already been processed or been dispatched we will be unable to process a refund until we receive the parcel back in the warehouse.

Here’s how to return your item:

1. Tell us! Please send an email to let us know which item is being returned including the reason why. This helps us determine if something is wrong with the manufacturing, packaging or delivery process.

2. Send it! Please post unworn, undamaged and unused items complete in the original packaging along with the completed Returns Form (download Returns Form here). You have a further 14 days to return your item.

Giftsforagirl.co.uk is not liable for shipping costs of returned items unless the item being returned was sent in error or was damaged or faulty upon arrival, then the return postage (to be agreed in writing prior to sending) will be reimbursed. Proof of postage is essential, however it is recommended that you send all items by recorded or tracked delivery.

3. Money Back! Once the item has been returned, we will transfer the cost of the item to the same account, which was used to pay for the item, within 14 days. Sorry, but any item that is returned damaged, dirty or incomplete may not be reimbursed in full. If there is still a value in the item you may receive a reduced refund so please make sure you securely wrap the item for postage so it gets to us safely.

PRICES

All prices are in pounds sterling and are inclusive of VAT. Prices are subject to alteration without prior notice, although these will only be made before a contract/transaction is in place.

PAYMENT AND ORDER PROCESS

Full payment is due before goods are despatched. We reserve the right to withhold supplies and to suspend deliveries in the event that payment is found fraudulent or invalidated. Payment is taken from your card once authorisation has been received.
Orders placed outside of normal working hours (Monday – Friday: 9.30 am-4.30pm) will be processed during the following working day. Any queries just e-mail us at hello@www.giftsforagirl.co.uk or use the ‘contact us’ form and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Weekend orders will be processed on a Monday and Bank Holiday purchases will be taken care of on the next working day.

STOCK AVAILABILITY

Orders are subject to the availability of stock. Most products are kept within our warehouse, however some bulky items are sent directly from the manufacturers or importers. If your choice of product is not available we will contact you to offer the following possibilities:

– Order cancellation and refund
– Order alternative product
– Wait for product to become available.

Please ensure that you give us the correct and most up to date contact details for us to liaise with you if necessary.

The descriptions and pictures on the website are a guide to the style and look of our products. We endeavour to make them as accurate as possible but cannot be held responsible for minor differences as the manufacturers may change details without notice – therefore colours and materials may differ from those shown.
All descriptions and images on this website may not be used or copied without permission from Gifts For A Girl. We use some images from our suppliers after their permission has been given and the copyright remains with them.

The logo, layout and website design is owned by us. This material includes, but is not limited to, the design, layout, look, appearance and graphics. Reproduction is prohibited other than in accordance with the copyright notice. Unauthorised use of this website may give rise to a claim for damages and/or be a criminal offence.

Every competition and promotion has specific terms and conditions.  We reserve the right to alter any competition or promotion at any time.  Only if you have signed up for our newsletter, will you receive an email from us. This includes news about new products, special offers or other messages that we think you’ll find useful.

DATA PROTECTION POLICY

We do not pass on any customer details we collect to any third party organisations – at all! Your details are important to us. We do not store any financial information on our customers.

PRIVACY POLICY AND SECURITY

This is a secure site. We are committed to protecting your privacy. Your debit or credit card details are only processed on secure encrypted web servers.  We offer two merchant gateways to purchase our products a) ApplePay b)Stripe c) Paypal. All payment providers collect your payment information, we do not keep any financial details on our computers. The data you provide is used to fulfil your order, that’s it. We have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

ApplePay receives your encrypted transaction and re-encrypts it with a developer-specific key before the transaction information is sent to the developer or payment processor. This key helps ensure that only the website you’re purchasing from can access your encrypted payment information. Every website offering Apple Pay must also verify their domain every time Apple Pay is offered as a payment option. As with in-store payments, Apple sends your Device Account Number to the website along with the dynamic security code. So neither Apple nor your device sends your actual credit or debit card numbers to the website.

Stripe automatically evaluates charges for fraud risk and blocks those they believe are fraudulent. Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. All card numbers are encrypted on disk with AES-256. Decryption keys are stored on separate machines. None of Stripe’s internal servers and daemons are able to obtain plaintext card numbers

Paypal monitors every transaction 24/7 to help prevent against fraud, email phishing and identity theft. Every transaction is heavily guarded behind next-level encryption. If something seems suspicious, security specialists are immediately on it to help protect you from fraudulent transactions. When you pay with PayPal, your financial information is never shared with the seller, and you can pay using only your email address and password.

STATUTORY RIGHTS

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

GOVERNING LAWS

A legally binding contract starts when the seller confirms the order and takes payment. Our contracts shall be construed and governed in all respects by English Law and all disputes arising under or relating to the Contract shall be the subject of the jurisdiction of the Courts in England to which Gifts For A Girl and the customer hereby submit.
